Location: The classes of the Qur’an Institute in Rockville are held at College Gardens Elementary School, located at: 1700 Yale Place Schedule: All classes are held according to the following schedule: Saturday: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Why do we hold classes on Wednesdays? Some parents have suggested having classes only once a week, on Saturdays. Since our students at the Qur'an Institute are learning an essential "skill" - that is, "reading" the Qur'an, it is very crucial that they meet their teacher and receive instruction more than just once a week, so they are able to retain what they learn in each class. We fear that if we only had the class once a week, the students will forget what they were taught, and may take a very long period of time to learn the skill of reading the Qur'an. We appreciate everyone's understanding regarding this matter and hope that by virtue of our students' commitment to the Qur'an, Allah will make it easy for them to excel in their other responsibilities (school work, job, etc). |
